Day 1 of 5

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23–24

Before you can move forward, you need an honest picture of where you are. Not where you wish you were, and not where you were five years ago. Here. Today.

Think of a graph with four quadrants. Progress means moving up and to the right, toward Quadrant I, where things are growing in a healthy direction. Most of us have some areas of life that are moving up and others that are stuck or sliding.

Clarity starts with prayer, not a planner. Ask God to search your heart, then look at your life with Him, without blaming and without excuses.

Today’s question

If I rate four areas of my life from 1 to 10 (my walk with God, my relationships, my health, and my work), which one most needs attention?

One small step

Write the four areas on a card with a number beside each. Circle the lowest one. You will come back to it on Day 5.

Do a little; test a lot.
