Day 4 of 5

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:5

Many decisions are made on autopilot: rushed, reactive, or driven by fear. Confidence grows when we slow down and invite God into the choice.

A simple tool helps: STOP. Stop what you are doing. Take a breath. Observe what you are thinking and feeling. Proceed with something that helps.

That pause is where you can ask God for wisdom, as James promises, and choose on purpose instead of by habit.

Today’s question

What decision am I putting off, and what am I afraid will happen if I choose?

One small step

Use STOP once today, before you answer an email, a text, or a request. Notice what changes when you pause.

Do a little; test a lot.
